Overwatch: Lucio the DPS - Damage Buff!

Lucuio gets a buff on PTR! AGAIN! This next tweak to Lucio swaps up his skillset a bit, less hectic wall riding / self heal, but more DPS! Now a skillfully aimed lucio burst is devestating! In the footage of this video, FREEDO doesn't explain it but the gameplay on Ruins shows why Lucio is so insane of a pick as well as specifically on KOTH, if you can't speed in and overwhelm a fight, you're fighting in quicksand and can barely engage when you're a man-up if they have all the ground. Picking Lucio helped get follow up damage where it needed to be and peel back when the enemy tried to dive our other supports -- even though after the swap all the fights went much better, the team was a bit 'taken aback' by the strategy choice, but it was sound. The comp didn't have "3 supports" it had the must-pick Lucio and two off-supports, who both played well enough, but no amount of good Zenyatta orbs/headshots can move the team into position! With this being the case, I look forward to Lucio being better, at least that version of 'must-pick' Lucio WILL get picked lol?

The problem with all this changes is that lucio are not going to heal, they are going to kill, jump and just rush to the enemy and 0 heal for other players, its like zeniatta but worse healing (if that is possible)

The reason why wall-ride speed burst feels slower is because it doesn't stack from wall to wall as you're in the air chaining wall-rides now. It used to stack when it was %30 in the previous update.

For the new style Lucio that Blizzard wants, I can agree with these changes. A more frontline Lucio needs more lethality, he was going to be nearly unkillable for dot heroes with his +50% healing, and the new speedboost was a bit excessive. Still not sure about his overall rework (song range in particular), but this is better than before.

If I'm not mistaken, they also made it so that Lucio's speed boost doesn't affect his wall ride speed. (Amp it up still might, not sure)
Which is the loss in "oomph".
Basically, the boosts are no longer stacking.

I really like that they are trying so many things with Lúcio. I would rather have Blizz get him right then keep him broken and have him take very low mechanical skill. Good stuff Blizz!
