I actually REALLY like the "text everywhere" aesthetic. Reminds me of the text slammed all over old school arcade cabinets and modern Japanese arcades. That's allll my kinda thing.

Picked these bad boys up about 6 months ago and I'm absolutely blown away to this day by how good they sound. These are insane headphones for the value but If you have them and want to make them even better I got brainwavz hm5 pads and a creative labs sound blade g3 and it literally makes the quality go up 2x. It adds bass to the point where it's very noticable even though they are open backs and the amp/dac makes the sound just amazing. Get these.

Man what a review, awesome energy, commanding voice, so glad you compare soundstage, imaging between different headphones by mentioning them makes me get an idea of the sound signature you are describing, many reviewers miss this.

I've owned a ton of 'high end' headphones, and let me tell you, for for 70-100 bucks, these SHP9500s are astonishing. They are well-balanced, nicely open-sounding, and have nice range (might be tipped up, but acceptably-so). Sibilance is there, but not over the top. Bass is good, despite what some claim. Yes, these may roll off steeply in the lowest ranges, however I find the bass they produce nice and precise and punchy. Their mid-range is excellent, but it does have a hint of grain that I notice occasionally, to a small extent. Yes, it could be clearer to some degree (marginally so), but their clarity is certainly not lacking. As a life-long audiophile, 47 yrs of age at this point, and pretty damned picky with sound, I am ecstatic with their purchase. At the price I paid, I can honestly say these headphones play in the same league as headphones 2 - 3x their cost.

Probably just a me problem but,
Headband is very stiff, every time I wear it, there's always a little dent formed in my hair. Wire is also heavy and it always pulls my head down to the left. The ear pads were also too big for my ears and are always clamping onto my neck, suffocating me in the process.


Good points: Sound quality is good
Build quality is decent ( I've dropped it a few times and still retains it's quality)

Bought these back when they were 49.99, they’re phenomenal for that price point. 3.5 detachable cable goes a long for headphone and as well as its comfort. Solid choice for budget entry level set of cans.
