HEY, if you're Indian and you manage to get your parents to be MORE ashamed of your acceptance into medical school by false pretenses than your sister's arts career, you done goofed up bad

he doesn’t even have to pretend he’s black. he’s darker than most african americans.

he looks exactly like his ancestors from the Andaman islands off the coast of india

I wonder if he pretends to be black when he gets pulled over by the cops. I bet you he wouldn't dare to do so.

People want to chastize him for pretending to be a black guy but the fact that he plan ACTUALLY WORKED.. i mean...isn't that a bigger problem?

I don't care how dark his skin is, he does not look Black to me. If I met him at med school, I would probably say, "Namaste Jo Jo."

Why wasn't he getting into medical school? Was it the test scores? I've heard of people who end up going to medical school in the Virgin Islands or in a Spanish speaking country just because it's cheaper and the MCAT requirements are lower.

I'm not surprised they're estranged. Both creepy and untrustworthy. I think he may have faked the whole "pretending to be black to get into med school" thing. Why not fake the entire thing to sell a book? And only getting into one 5th rate med school? He may have done better being a regular Indian - his essays and interviews would've been more real-sounding and from the heart. If he really interviewed at 11 schools as black, wouldn't any dumb admissions officer know that he's not black? How can simply shaving his head and changing his name to Jojo convince people that he's black? He doesn't think, talk, or live from the perspective of an African American. And he actually kept his very un-black last name when applying to med school. Was he trying to pass himself off as a son of African immigrants? Or did he not think that far? His experiment was awful - if he really did it. How could he have written a convincing application essay if he did not really live and experience life as a black person? And can an Indian pass as black by simply shaving his head?

So this guy is against affirmative action, but was willing to abuse it to his advantage? What a piece of work.

Committing fraud to get into medical school. Not exactly the kind of place which comes to mind when you think of fraud and a perpetrator. What he did was wrong, no denying, but I found it absolutely hilarious.

This is like the plot of the two movies Soul Man and Bad Medicine blended together…

If he will lie about this, then he will lie to his patients. If he will lie to his patients what does that say about malpractice and what HE WOULD DO TO HIS PATIENTS AND *LIE ABOUT IT* I am not even South Asian and I am second hand embarrassed by this weirdo. THIS IS GROSS.

I don't see how your sister would approve of you claiming black when she is a tv star
