I think that Nintendo will announce the whatever the Switch 2 will be called by the end of the year and it will release sometime in 2025 (probably holiday season).

Imagine there is a Sony X Nintendo collab.
Where they have a Handheld/Console kinda thing similar to the Wii U/NS but they have it backwards compatible with every previous console meaning every Playstation and Nintendo Exclusive now available, even the handheld titles from the Vita, Psp, DS family, etc.
Then it comes with 2 controllers: one is basically a normal controller and another is like the Wii Remote/Playstation move.
Then then have it so that there is the Mii Verse, Playstation Home verse and have lore around it.
The online is free but with a subscription you get access to every previous title for specific consoles.

We heard of a game called Breath of the Wild 2 but guess what we got: Tears of the Kingdom. If Nintendo is working on a product they will keep us up to date. That being said Nintendo does indeed take a long time to make amazing games like BotW. So, imagine what they will do with the next gen of the Switch

Not every console must have a codename. Keep in mind the switch two isn’t supposed to be a brand new console. It’s really supposed to be an upgraded version of the switch. And switch is STILL releasing new games plus tons of third party so not having a big enough library is bull.

Tbh I could see them go for a 2027 release too, they once said they wanted to double the switch's lifetime. But idk they end development in march 2025. But that date could still be adjusted

The leaker Midori (very prominent Sega/Atlus leaker) said about 3 or 4 months ago publishers randomly got access to SDKs for the switch 2 despite the fact that no 3rd party publishers even knew it existed before then
