Always wear a helmet everyone!! It fucking saved my life today after a van crossed the bicycle lane (they actually exist in London) without looking. Smashed directly into the side of it and dislocated my shoulder. But without that helmet, I'm afraid what would have happened. My Ninebot Max survived being driven over it while on the side tho.

So! Last year I bought the Zoom Stryder. I love it - BUT about a week into owning it I learned the hard way how unresponsive the breaks are, when a very kind driver decided to pull out in front of me as I was riding down a hill. It still rides ok but it can no longer collapse as the steering column is now bent owing to the drivers front wheel going over it. I was gutted to say the least. I contacted Zoom in the hope that I could pay them to replace the damaged part(s) and of course pay postage and packing also. They asked for a photo of the damage which I sent, and I never heard back. Some time later I received a mass customer email from the company offering me a $100 discount code to publish a review on their site. I did so, but never received the discount. Awesome scooter, but truly dangerous breaking system. I would critique the customer service but by the sounds of it, something has gone wrong.

I emailed Zoom last summer about the Pro and they told me to check back on the website in 3 weeks and Nothing. I never knew it came out. Riding my Ninebot ES4 at 20mph I can get 14 miles of range so this Pro was kind of a let down. Thanks again Ben for an awesome video and update on the Zoom Pro.

I have a Zoom Stryder EX, bought it after seeing your early vids and it's great. Never missed a beat and on flat ground gets 15 miles no probs.
I modded the electronics to give 40% more power and brakes (at max), so it's quite zippy. Very happy with it, sad it doesn't get used much now because I have a Onewheel XR which is my main ride, nothing has the fun and maneuvers like a Onewheel. 👍😁

Zoom Stryder Pro is pretty much the same as the Xiaomi M365 Pro since both are just incremental upgrades over the original version and I say the Xiaomi Pro tops the Zoom Stryder Pro due to app connectivity, proper 21s century LCD display, and you can unlock the speed to 35km/hr hehe! 😁🛴

Do you ever use the rear step down break? I always used that on my E-Twow Booster scooters as those electronic brakes are not good. They are especially inadequate when going down hills or if you have close to a full charge.

Look forward to hearing your impressions on the Widewheel Pro. I really like that scooter. I have checked it out and see them pretty frequently in San Francisco. I find acceleration is a big thing in urban riding as you weave in and out of various types of traffic. The Widewheel doesn't have top speed but does have great acceleration.

You should compare the zoom pro to the normal zoom.

10:00 better do acceleration/top speed tests at 100% state of charge ;) Ninebot max can also go 30-32 km/h only at higher battery state. Nice vid tho! Packed with action as usual
