What an amazing movie. The line “there’s only one place in the world i call home, and it’s because you’re there” has stuck with me for well over two decades. One of the most tender, longing quotes ever put to film.

What an absolutely brilliant film. Way ahead of its time. Robin Williams and Nathan Lane are legends.

I'm assuming this trailer just tried to sell audiences by giving away the biggest plot points and Robin Williams being silly but I just watched this and it was one of the most perfectly paced, well written, refreshing, daring, and utterly hilarious film I've ever seen.

Quite possibly the funniest comedy from the nineties. It's a complete riot. Nathan Lane steals the entire show in this one. Why don't they make comedies like this anymore? Comedies that are genuinely funny. In todays comedies you are lucky if you get one giggle and a smirk out of a 90 min run time. The world really has lost the ability to laugh at itself.

As a straight male who has no desire to see Bros (it looks moronic), and according to the guy behind it I'm homophobic because I'm not rushing out to see it, The Birdcage is one of my favorite films of all time. I absolutely love the chemistry between Lane, Williams, and Azaria. This movie is hilarious. It is wonderfully written. It is perfect.

I'm not sure Nathan Lane has ever surpassed his role as Albert in this film, he managed to overshadow Robin Williams in this one.

I watched this for the first time on Oct. 13th. (So, almost 7 months ago as of 5/9/23.) It's now one of my favorite comedies and one of my favorite movies in general. It's in my Top 10, in fact.

Believe it or not, my PASTOR recommended it to me a year ago. He loves Robin Williams, so this is actually one of HIS favorite movies! :0

Absolutely HYSTERICAL film. IF You've not seen it, you MUST watch it. Right THIS SECOND. End of conversation.

The original voice of Genie from Disney's Aladdin and Timon from Disney's The Lion King, Nathan Lane and Robin Williams featured in a main role of this MGM film, The Birdcage. And in fact, that Disney and MGM had a licensed deal was named after Disney-MGM Studios theme park and later renamed as Disney Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Florida.
Robin Williams is a great legend, but sadly, he passed away way back in 2014.
And this film is also a remake of the original 1979 film, La Cage Aux Folles also produced by United Artists and the same company who also produced The Man with No Name trilogy.

The only thing that really bothered me about this movie was I thought the son was incredibly ungrateful, the way he treats his father's partner who helped raise him is despicable. And I just really found myself hating the son's character
