You gained my respect for packing the Silky Gomboy that and making sure your dog is cared for.👍🇨🇦❤

Best item I ever bought for backpacking with my dog was a set of what I called saddle bags for the dog! Carry in her food and carry out my dirty socks! She plowed thru brush like she had on a suit of armor!

This is inspiring for me! My husband and I have VERY different interests and hobbies so you have given me the courage to still pursue my interests and take my dog with me for my outdoor adventures since my hubby hates the outdoors.

The dog could carry it's own food, bowl, and jacket

My dog would have laughed at that amount of dog food. Like that's a snack right ? Very awesome what your doing, and love that the pup is going with you!

More backpackers are starting to adopt bushcraft items. 5 years ago, you would never see a video like this of a backpacker even remotely suggesting to ever bring a saw let alone an axe. Good to see.

Ever consider getting dog harness packs? I have a friend who uses them on her doggo's to help her carry some of the things that the dogs need(food/water/bedding). They are also a bit of insulation for the cooler days.

Idk if its as good as yours but VooDoo tactical makes a long range bag its called the LRRP. Ive used mine winter camping. The big selling point for me is theres a big box compartment that zips into the bag when not in use and can fit a bunch of extra stuff or in my case extra layers, food, and propane tanks. Highly reccomend if youre someone who doesnt like strapping things to tye outside of their bag. And for reference i can fit my entire Elixir one tent, bushtarp and ground tarp in the bottom, and stuff my poles in the top with everything else.

I have this Gregory backpack and it's the best I've ever owned

One crucial mistake you make wjen packing. The first thing in the pack should be a big plastic rubbish bag and everything goes into that to kerp all of it dry and can be used for waterproof cover in an emergency , use a bright orange one

Respect for carrying all that weight! I moved to a tarp shelter cause im slow and old.

Hi. If you put the hatches blade side in first the weight distribution on your lower back should be lighter.

Knife is the Morakniv and it is the absolute best knife you can buy. Super cheap too.

Those builders bars were great. They stopped selling them at my target. Except that theyd be left half or mostly eaten because they pack so much.
