I just heard about Harwell. Good singers don't die because their music is immortal!

RIP Harwell. Your music, expecially this song, has been around me since I was born and never failed to put me in a good mood. Yesterday still I put it on and it turned my kitchen into a concert. Thank you for all the joy!

though it’s not the same, we can still appreciate they still make music, and cover their old music. everyone comes to an end at the end of the day, but it’s nice to see they kept this song alive, and they’ll keep in alive in steve’s memory from on.
smash mouth will always be a band i can love.

Crowd looks lit. Better energy than most heavy shows I go to anymore. Love to see it.

You know, I’m kinda surprised how how much Zach Goode sounds a lot like the late Steve Harwell (RIP).

May he rest in peace. It's sad that he died before Shrek 5

I'm into '60s-'80s rock and metal, but this has a nice sound to it. Seems like a cool guy. RIP.

I saw them open for Goldfinger in 1996 or so. It was mostly Ska and Punk music at that time. We thought they were one of those bands. But I’m sure they struggled a lot in band with the second album, and the Shrek thing. The Waking in the Sun song blew up and really out then into a 60s doors style upbeat thing. They were able to shake that a little. But the second album before All Star was written, was because the album was rejected. They had to write something similar and upbeat, and that’s what they did.

When it was turned in, the guitarist who wrote it said I hate this song….but I think it’ll work. It worked really well. Then came Shrek which they passed on, until someone flew down with a tape. They decided to record the cover, but other members from what I’ve read were nervous they be a band playing for children and middle aged dads. So that’s how they lost a bunch of members….it quickly turned into… “how do we stay relevant?”

Seems the singer just had health issues later on, and still seem thankful still. They even were turned into a meme with all the remixes. Although things didn’t turn out the way they liked it seems from an outsiders view.

But yeah this is Karoke, and I’m not here to bash. First album was different and great to see them at the starting line. If I was in a band like this I’d rather keep playing making a living, than go broke. But I’m sure the tv endorsement deals help a lot. Sadly streaming though bands make nothing, and reason every band has cone out of retirement or is still playing regardless. Music business is a messed up thing.
