Wheel

ima trustin all the apples
to grow on the trees
i got faith in them
they got hope in me?
i don’t know
i hope so
if every minute’s a place
and every moment’s a gift
then time is a while
too heavy to lift

wheel keep spinnin on
turn and turn me on
wheel keep turnin
i’ll keep learnin
keep on spinnin
on

ima trustin all the planets
to know their math
to go along
along their path
i don’t know
i hope so
seems like every calendar’s
a slice of cake
you get a lil more
the less you take

wheel keep spinnin on
turn and turn me on
wheel keep turnin
i’ll keep learnin
keep on spinnin
on

everything u see
and everything u touch
it is what it is
it’s gonna have to be enough

wheel keep spinnin on
turn and turn me on
wheel keep turnin
i’ll keep learnin
keep on spinnin
on

i got hope that all the rivers will flow today
to go along
their river way
i don’t know
i hope so
i’m livin on the hope
i won’t be abridged
by anything that was
that anything that is

wheel keep spinnin on
turn and turn me on
wheel keep turnin
i’ll keep learnin
keep on spinnin
on

I’m just an old English Professor but I know poetry when I hear it.

The rare occasion you see someone and realize they are doing exactly what they were meant to do in life! 🎸 🇨🇦

I'm 71 and obsessed with this song. It's so full of 60s uncertainty and then hope for the future. If I've learned anything in life, it's that life is fluid, and if we give it a moment, it will change. Nothing is forever, but if our wheels are turning, it's an opportunity to make things better. Bless you, Jesse. Please take care that your wheels don't turn too fast. Enjoy this moment. ❤

Cannot get enough of Jesse's music! I really hope he gets the opportunity to release his music on vinyl, I'd love to add it to my small collection, sit back and pop it on and just let it play through

This guy is the best folk singer of the last 30 years. All of his songs are absolutely brilliant and I can't stop listening. I don't even normally listen to this type of music but damn. I've been rocking Jesse Welles for days now. Patchwork was playing all day while I was working yesterday. I hope he blows up and becomes a household name cause he's amazing! Does he ever tour? I want to see him play so bad. I'd love to see him playing in the woods somewhere. He should travel around and put on random performances in the woods along powerline clearings 😂 It would be iconic.

I call Jesse an inspiration not because he makes good music and I want to articulate that; but because as a fellow musician he takes every single excuse I have ever had about music creation and obliterates them in their entirety.

I genuinley don't know what else you would call a person who does that with every song other than an Inspiration.

this is a very beautiful performance of one of Jesse's best folk songs IMO. His voice is really on, and the face is glowing. His joy playing this really shines throughout.

Very clever lyrics about physical laws of nature. Love how he uses the interchangeable homophones, wheel and we'll.

Your music is more than just melodies; it's a reflection of life's complexities. Your lyrics resonate deeply, reminding me of moments I thought were forgotten. You've gained a lifelong fan!
