I remember when there was so much hate for her dancing (and you still see some of it), but mostly I think people have embraced it as her just being in the moment, being herself. Part of the love people have for her and her music is that she's something real, she's not trying to fit in, she's fearless. It just goes to show, that normal isn't really normal it's just sameness and it's bullshit. Be true to yourself, fuck societal expectations, accept the real you and the truth of who you really are, will set you free. There will be people who shun you, but you'll also find the ones who will welcome you just as you are and really, they're all you really need to know. Lorde is a perfect example of that.
