I like makita.

Like, theyre tools are obviously alright, dont know if theyre anything 'special' but i use them at work and have pretty little issues with them..

But their whole product environment is just fun. Its like 'okay we got these fairly powerful 18v batteries, we assume people are gonna use these on building sites and the like, where there often arent many outlets' and someone just went 'okay so hear me out'.

And it worked.

2024 Ford electric transit has a big inverter so you can power a normal kettle, microwave etc.

12v kettle (camper van style).
Cut the 12v plug off.
Attach one of those 3D printed eBay power tool battery adapters to the + and -
You’ve now got a kettle that runs from plugging in batteries.
Watch out it drains them FAST and probably awful for cell life.

I thought it was a specific tool that just happened to be called a "kettle" and was waiting like "oooh, is that the kettle?... Is that the kettle?".
Imagine my surprise.

Or you could get a small compact butane stove.
Better yet, you're in a workshop, use a regular 240volt kettle.

I noticed the bottle of water mentioned events. Are any events planned for 2023?

2 batteries? Too much power to give up for coffee. Make it before you leave the house in the moring or plug the inverter into the truck.
