True. Specs are pretty similar with 3 differences 1) PS4 has faster ram 2) The GPU is about 50% faster 3) It doesnt come bundled with a camera that you have to use, the camera is optional.

Probably because some companies make aftermarket cooling units that go on the back of the vents to give more airflow.. I am sure there is some kind of reason why sony doesn't want people to start designing products for it yet, maybe they are thinking about changing the size of them or something.

That would also increase the price as well. Backwards compatibility costs a lot to include. That's why Sony ditched it later on in PS3's lifecycle.

you can see pics of the vents on the PlayStation website, they are pretty big so I don't thank it will have overheating issues but might have lots of dust build up.

I was always a gamer. I bought xbox for Halo and was with Microsoft for 8 years but it's wrong for a company to restrict you so you can't play your games, so that you can't do what you ought to be able to do with your games. The shift this year wasn't about choosing games, it's about choosing principles. Though I am eager for some Playstation exclusives :3

I really hope it doesnt have over heating issues. I was hoping for a bigger console, but as long as it gives me what i want in quality games i really dont care what it looks like.

That looks really cool. I'm still getting Xbox One, just because I prefer the games and the service in general, but this is better than I expected.

I know my first reactions to it were that it was literally like a PS2, I was stunned because the PS2 days were the good ol days for me : D.

Right when Sony ended their conference my friend and I pre-ordered the PS4. When we were at the store their was 2 other gamers like us. However 1 out of the 2 was cancelling his payment to his Xbox one and not only bought one PS4 but another for his little brother.
I have never left my house so quickly and committed to such a large payment so quickly.

U might be able to see some of the hardware inside the ps4 which is information that has not been released yet, hence they are not allowed to show 360 degrees =)

It's not clear in the video but can you see the horizontal line across the front? the slot loading drive is under the SONY logo, and next to that are 2 USB 3.0 ports.

He can't show the back parts because it is most likely going to be changed before release day. They probably haven't decided on what propriety components they will also add to it.

The design reminds me of an amalgamation of all the Playstation consoles. The grey of the PSX, the boxy, squared shape of the PS2, and the glossy black sheen of the PS3. The borders that contour the body of the console, and slanted, angular lean of it's shape give it a crisp new, yet still nostalgic aesthetic appeal that, I believe, advances it's rapeage of the Xbox One.

And game trials is amazing. Play any game. The full game for 1 hr for free with plus. It's a great way to see if a game is worth buying.

I had the PS1, PS2, PS3 then finally switched to PC but I'd be happy to buy the PS4 later on for some cool exclusives like killzone and KH3
