Like you, I started doing this over 40 years ago. A teenager in love with Mopars. My first car was a '70 Charger I bought from the original owner in '81.
I now own a '68 Plymouth GTX with a 505 stroker.
It's good to see someone your age working on these machines of the past. You're learning a valuable skill.
I also live in Portland. S.E.

I love the sound of the old Mopar starter... friends used to give me the business about its signature sound.... but then would put their money on my car in most races.

Great to see younger Americans working on the old American Muscle, good luck with your car, it's very cool. Never sell your Charger, keep it in the family, what a dad you have. AMERICA!

My first car was a 68charger with a 318 and it had 316 thousand miles on it and I wish I still had it❤

At first, I absolutely freaking hated the red wheels, but once you started to back the Charger out of the driveway, I remembered why 68-70 Chargers are the greatest looking muscle car ever. Thank you for re-invigorating me, into wanting to work on my 1970 Charger, we dubbed Jezebel. Oh I almost forgot, I fell in love with the red wheels as soon as it hit the street. Great video man, keep up the great work, oh and make sure to secure your battery down, that could have been bad.

I really injoy watching young people messing with old cars, my son and I both have 1968 dodge chargers.

I think the red wheels give the Charger a nascar/stock car look. It looks cool. Nice work young man.

Dampen the area around where the battery leaked, once wet sprinkle with baking soda to neutralize the acid, rinse it down thoroughly then wash with Dawn and rinse again. Hopefully you'll catch it in time before it starts to rust the metal!

Even in not so good condition these cars are worth HUGE money nowadays, you should be able to repair the battery case, plastic weld it!

Don't paint it, rub it down with Penetrol. Don't sell it.! I did the whole new interior, headliner. new vinyl top then antiqued the top to make it look as old as the 331 paint . Nothing Cooler, good on you.

Nice work. I'm kinda in the same situation with my 68 charger. I need to get mines up and running also after I finish the bodywork
