Angels glow at the battle of Shiloh 1862

After the battle of Shiloh, wounded soldiers of both the confederate and union armies lay in wait for medical assistance to arrive. A strange phenomenon began to occur to some of the wounded men strewn about the battlefield. Their wounds began to emit a pale blue glow which is believed to have prevented their deaths. So the legends claim.
A turn of the century scientific study believes that a type of bacteria known as Photorhabdus luminescens was present and found its way into the wounds of the injured thus preventing the soldiers succumbing to infection and death as it destroyed the harmful bacteria. This miracle bacteria just so happens to emit a blue glowing light and is more than likely the reason these soldiers survived.
