The Reality Show for Superheroes

Stan Lee's "Who Wants To Be A Superhero" was a reality competition show from 2006 where a bunch of goofy adults competed against each other in some less-than-exciting challenges, all for the grand prize of having a comic book written about them. It was silly, it was frustrating, and it was hardly memorable. Let's check it out!

I love how every negative trait Stan Lee brings up are everything his A list heroes have.

The one moment this review didn’t cover was when Feedback tearfully told Stan that after his father’s death, Stan—through his comics—became a kind of surrogate father to him, teaching him right from wrong. It was one of the few times I ever saw Stan get really serious: he answered “Thank you. I’m not sure I deserve that, but that you.” You could tell it was a really humbling moment for him.

Even when he leaves, Major Victory still walks like he's won. Truly, a major victory.

I’ve seen only five minutes of major victory, but I would die for him. The way he finger gunned those birds had me on the ground sobbing.

I find it hilarious that Stan got upset at the one woman for flirting with all the male superheroes when that was basically Wasp's entire personality for the first fifteen issues of Avengers.

Stan Lee: “Honesty is the number one trait of being a superhero.”

Also Stan Lee: “You NEVER tell anyone your secret identity, even when asked.”

Major Victory seemed like a parental superhero to Feedback, no wonder he didn't make it.

*An amazing quote I found from Major Victory*

“I always equated meeting Stan Lee with meeting my wife. It was April 4, 2006 when I met Stan and Jennifer Mae. A producer named Jeff brought her over and introduced us in our Superhero identities. ‘Major Victory this is Diamond Girl.’ We hit it off and kept in touch. From that day on, we were together.

We met on April 4th, got married on April 4th, and we both met Stan Lee on that rainy April 4th in 2006."

I went on a quest to see what happened to him after the show, and this absolutely made my day

Major victory seems like an awesome person to know
He's so endearing, encouraging and befriended everyone he could on the show. I want a show with him and feedback

You forgot the most wholesome moment of the show; When Fat Mama goes to the director of the show and tells them that Feedback should win because he genuinely wanted it and she was just on the show for her kids.
When this show came out I watched the entire first season. I don't think I knew about the second season until many years later.

Scott was really downplaying the tragedy of Major Victory, I had only known the guy for like 10 minutes but I was starting to tear up a little.

Fat Mama was my family’s favorite! I remember an episode where they had a timed mission at a public space but there was a little girl crying. Some of the contestants ignored her to save time but she went into Mama Bear mode and dropped everything to help the child. ❤️ I hope she’s doing well today! She wasn’t the winner but she will always be a hero to me.

(After watching the video I see that you mentioned that challenge lol)

Stan: “Honesty is the number one trait of being a superhero”
Also Stan: *has a challenge where participants get punished for being honest about their identities*

I actually got to be on this show when I was younger. They had us write essays and whoever had the best got to be an extra for the episode where they go to the elementary school. I have signed pictures from Stan Lee and from the 3 super heros that went to our school.
