Today’s video is all about APGAR scoring for Nursing Students and NCLEX Review.

APGAR scoring is used by nurses to assess the health of babies right after birth. It's based on five observations (Appearance, Pulse, Grimace, Activity, and Respiration) that are scored from 0 to 2, with 2 being the best possible score.

The higher the score, the better condition they’re in to go home with their parents. But the lower the score, the more medical attention they’ll need.

What if I'm caring for a African baby, should they be pink? Or Australian? The two people europeans call black, but obviously are not. Or do their lives not count? I've been in healthcare a long time. If I'm learning to care for people, and most people on Earth are brown from womb to tomb, why are we not taught to care for them. Never seen a dark brown person turn blue or pink.
