[Jude 1] Never take your eyes from Jesus

Jesus and the apostles foretold that in the church will come divisive and selfish people causing offences in the church of God. They use flattery for their own gain instead of building up the church.

How will we protect ourselves and our brothers from such people? By looking always to Jesus and His holy word. There, we see the example of our Saviour and His truth. No one can make such a person stumble or separate him from the body of Christ because God will show to that believer the intent of the divisive person.

Such people will definitely come, but we'll be safe if we keep ourselves in the love of God and our eyes on Jesus. Our task is to build ourselves up in the most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit. He will edify us, strengthen us and make us stand!
