My brother has been diagnosed with white matter leukodystrophy. He is 19 years old. Is there any treatment available to cure these diseases and help my brother stand on his feet?

This is all very inspiring and sad but I can't help but wonder why they chose to keep having children after finding out that any subsequent children they had could have MLD. They have like 4 kids who are younger than the little girl who died. Why keep having kids and taking the chance that they will be born with the disease that already took one of your children?
