What is The Digital Divide? Mozilla Explains

What is the digital divide, and can we bridge it? Nearly half of the world is still offline, meaning half of the world is still unable to benefit from the digital age and the digital economy.

In this episode of Mozilla Explains, Alice Munyua, director of Mozilla's Africa Mradi explains the causes and effects of the digital divide, and how we can help to bridge it.

AS an older person who is hard of hearing that background music makes it impossible to hear what the lady is saying. But what little I could understand was helpful

Great video series. I would add that the digital divide goes beyond internet access. We need every community to have access to digital skills education so they can also become makers of technology, not just users.

I agree that the background music is too loud for those of us with hearing loss. Also, please use a lapel microphone close to your mouth. Otherwise your voice bounces off the walls and creates an echo which also makes it difficult to understand what you are saying. I had to rely on the closed captioning to understand the message. Hope you understand that this criticism is meant to be constructive so that we can all benefit from your explanation.

I find that the music is too much, or at least too loud (je trouve que la musique est de trop, ou en tout cas trop forte), it's unnecessary fatigue (c'est une fatigue inutile).
