Would anyone happen to know the difference between the standard and 'upgraded' versions which they have on gearbest?

You can buy the CR10S upgrade KIT that will give you the filament alarm / pause and a few other upgrades like dual Z stepper motors. And yes I find the current Pause function and the offset it makes a pain so if I find I am running out of filament and still a long way to go in the print I am doing I just cut the filament off near the extruder and push in new filament as it is printing. Works fine that way.

I'm used to a worse printer and I'm thinking about buying it so when you said that it gets decalibrated when you pause it I was like ohh! Cool, you can pause it

There's already multiple webcam / gopro mounts that attach to the bed adjustment screws on Thingiverse...

Attach the go pro to the bed not the frame. Then the go pro will move with the print

Lol, all of your cons like no wifi or lights are things I never expected in a printer as all I have right now is an anet a8 that u built, getting a cr10 soon. I personally think it looks cool especially when you take the plastic strips off I like the industrial look, it does not try to be pretty, but that's just me

Lol these There are a few camera mounts for the cr-10 on thingiverse. So I wouldn't call that a con on the printer. The filament run out sensor is kinda rare on printers. But you can get a raspberry pi and setup octoprint. As for it being ugly you can remove those ugly blue racing stripes really easily. But on the no-lights thing yeah thats annoying but can easily be fixed. Oh and your bed leveling knobs are on wrong. You are supposed to unscrew them and put them on the other way if that makes sense.

Your cons are taste based, like the lights or the looks of it (check your flat... glass houses my dude...) and please, it´s a PRINTER, not just a topic for videos, so, the point of the quick moves vs. timelapses are pointless...
