As a disabled person I can't even describe how terrifying that is. Not everyone has good people like that.

Outrageous. Kimberly needs to be reimbursed for those loans that she took out. She is an angel

I'm so glad they filed a class action suit. Its absolutely deplorable what they did to disabled people.

This is why it's so important to vote. You can ignore politics but politics won't ignore you

Florida’s program is a joke. They rolled out a new portal a year ago and it’s still a mess. People who are permanently disabled with no hope of improving are forced to reapply every 6 months. Their notices either aren’t sent to recipients, have the wrong renewal dates or have gibberish as a reason for denial. This was admitted to by one of their employees. The call center doesn’t track dropped calls and if all the representatives are busy they hang up on you. Desantis needs to focus on doing what is right for his state. It’s a disgrace!

Sadly, these are some of the people who vote against their best interests. She should have Medicare and Medicaid.

For states that claim to be Pro-life for the unborn, how can they let this happen to those people who are living with disabilities?

While Florida is obviously a train wreck, how about the beauty of the lady who stepped in to pay for all that care! She is a shining example of love. Saw a problem and did what she could to help. An example for all of us.

In a lot of other states, she would be covered under a waiver. This is ridiculous and her caretaker needs to be reimbursed.

Remember: they take all those taxes out of your paycheck. For what?

Pandemic Medicaid, stimulus checks, and PPP loans....the government is slowly taking back the money and benefits given out on 2020-2021 through program cutbacks and higher taxes...SMH!

Same happened to me. I was bumped off medicaid and it took three months to resume medical coverage. My eye surgery was delayed until I got coverage, and I lost partial vision in my right eye. Who will give me my vision back? We NEED national health care.

She didn’t have a nurse liaison or social worker? No phone call? This is horrible.

Promoting Florida as a retirement region is not necessarily a good plan when so many need to have Federal Assistance. Basing a large portion of a state's economy on these federal programs is putting too many eggs in a fragile basket.
