I started with omnigrid rulers. I used non slip stickers, sand paper dots and eventually they still slipped. Last year I got one creative grids ruler and will only buy them from now on. You can literally lay your hand on them and they won't slide. It's so worth the investment. Yes I saw what you did, you're adorable! 💗
