My August Favorites - A Question About Love

I am so happy to share with you my favorites of August with a Special Guest! I also took time to tell you that I met a man this week...we began to chat and the story moves on from there. I know people talk about self-love...that we can't love someone else unless we love ourselves...but what does that mean? What may I ask does that mean to you?
Thank you for your prayers for Bill. Thank you for your kindness...thank you for sharing your life and thank you for being here...we are such a beautiful group of gals...you lift me up every day and sometimes I feel I can almost accomplish anything because we lift each other so much!
I also got some exciting news about my new apartment....I waited for 17 months and this may be it!..... TBA!

Oh Susanne, You made me laugh out loud. I can SO relate. Mother Nature hit you with her stun gun. I'm sure he didn't think you were being as scatter brained as you felt inside., after all, he suggested going to the park. You are beautiful, and I'm sure he was feeling lucky to get to talk to you. A cross between Kenny Rogers and Burt Reynolds - sounds like a perfect combination to me, but only if he has the personality to match! Your story was very cute. There can still be sparks even at our age. I don’t think they happen as often, but when they do, the feeling brings us right back to our teenage years I think. There’s a lot to love about you, Susan, and if Bob is smart he’ll want to discover them. 🌷

The story about the guy was hilarious. I'm pretty sure he was more than elated to be called a "manly man". Guys are like us, I think. They get to a point in life that they lose their six pack & things just don't work as well as they used to. He more than likely thought, "Wow. That beautiful woman called me "a manly man". I definitely moved to the right place." I haven't dated in years. My hairdresser went a little crazy on my hair on the last visit. She cut off my sideburns. I now have the look of an Amish schoolboy, & my head looks like a mushroom when I wake up in the mornings. I know I certainly won't be meeting anyone in the near future. I should probably get that pillow. lol

Susan, we’re not broken. We’re perfectly imperfect. Anyone whether it’s a friend or lover will never see the imperfections we see in ourselves as we ourselves love others the same way. It’s not about fixing what we feel is broken within us. We need to love ourselves like we love others. That’s the key to self love. So turn it around. How would you feel or react if someone you love confided in you the same exact scenario you had with this handsome gentleman?
