I owned that exact bike and never knew it had a kick start or secret compartment. LOL. A little late now!

Those were the days when motorcycles were made for people's convenience but now people should adapt according to each one

I wish more bikes had backup kickstarts

My bike, yellow 75. Head stock vin sticker build date October 75. 600 lbs, factory 80 HP, 50 foot-pounds torque, 5 speed, 9000 rpm redline. I converted mine to dual Weber downdraft carbs. No more carb problems. I did add period correct after market accessories. front fender bumper, front fork brace, crash bars, throttle lock, extra turn signals. New factory profile seat with modern padding. Sweep back handlebars. I'm 67, the comfort items are important. Every where I go on my Goldwing people young and old complement on it. Still no luggage, I put a fork bag for glasses. almost every tool I've used on it is in the tank tray. They really will run well for a million miles, speedo and tach last about 200, 000. I own 3 4cyl Goldwings. One stock looking, one cafe racer, one brat style. Old Goldwings are great bikes. If you find one buy it.

My 1977 Yamaha XS750 had self cancelling turn signals. It had two headlight elements. If the primary blew the secondary would come on and a indicator on the das illuminates to let you know. Disk brakes, shaft drive, etc. Rode it 17, 000 miles and loved every mile.

I wish I could do something for you. You just gave me flashbacks to my brother was alive. Hope you have a great life man!

old honda vehicles were over engineered to the max.

I actually love the concept of the back up kick start. All modern motorcycles should have it.

They were already ahead of the time. There is no any motorcycle company that can come up with technology and refinement like this. It’s totally amazing - and that sound was mind blowing!! Thanks for showing this masterpiece

This short video is perfect. The location, the music, the camera movement and of course the very interesting presentation of the bike's quirks and features. Nice!

You are bringing back memories. My dad had that exact back same color same pinstriping, identical. Delivered the same year as me.

Harley's competing product was anememic, rough, primitive, leaky shovel head that only started every third Sunday afternoon.

I was fortunate enough to finally own a 2007 Honda VFR800 and it was the most amazing bike I ever owned. I finally sold it last year after 12 years. It handled like a dream IMO and was best in class for 8 years straight when I bought it. Honda bikes are indeed awesome.

They are great machines - extremely well engineered for the time. I owned a 1978 model and it always ran like a top.

This is not a machine this is pure art.

It’s great to see a naked Goldwing. Such a pretty bike without all that fairing!
