It was not a good week for Kanye at all. His album sold "only" 108k times between physical, digital and streams. Compare that to Eminem a few weeks ago who had around 350k in the first week to reach nr 1. Swift's album this week had almost 150k sales so this is more a lack of demand on Kanye's side then a blocking from Swift's side.
What also didn't help was that Kanye said his album would come out on Friday 2nd, but that was the same date where Swift's fans had a lot of buzz going about one of her Taylor Version album dropping so it seems that Kanye waited to see if that album got released and only then released his, missing at least a full day of sales that way.
