*NOTE: I neglected to mention that there were several unrecognized leaders of Crimea after its downfall, but they were in actuality just rulers of the tiny Budzhak Horde located inside its territory.

There are many monarchies in these place you could look at, such as the kings of Alania, the kings of Circassia, the shamkals of Tarki, the Kalmyk Khans, the Elisu Sultans, the Imams of Chechnya, the Gazikumukh Khans, the Kaitag kings, and many others.
