Utah activists win $52K in free speech case following Smithfield Foods piglet rescue trial

Beaver County, Utah, has reached a resolution in a widely-followed case involving animal rights activists and the rescue of sick piglets from a Smithfield Foods pig farm.

The county agreed to pay $52,000 along with attorney fees to the activists and two animal welfare organizations.
