I would have chose to describe options as a coupon that gives you the right to buy the stock at a certain price but like a coupon it can expire worthless. I don’t think this guy is actually a profitable trader. As a black man who trades NQ & ES i can tell you trading futures is alot easier than options. The implied volatility factor is removed. Which can make or break you in options.

Buy Call Options when you expect the market to go up and Put Options when you expect it to go down. Buying 3 months out is also a good enough time frame to give you time to be right or pivot if you're wrong. What most people don't discuss about options is the danger of Theta aka Time Decay
