Cuban Medical Brigade arrives in Belize

Thirty-two of fifty-eight members of the Cuban Medical Brigade that was deployed to assist Belize in the fight against COVID-19 arrived today at the Philip Goldson International Airport. The team consists of not only doctors, but nurses and other medical professions. So far, Belize has only confirmed two cases, while Cuba has 48. Despite this, the medical brigade has gone above and beyond to extend their assistance to Belize. According to Ambassador Annie Lou Burns Martinez, the CEO in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this move speaks volumes to the type of diplomatic relationship that the two countries share.
