0:09 You can feel a complete trust that Chris have for Nina through Chris’ eyes expression.

Chris started to express his most discomfort and suspicious as he noticed someone was approaching him, he had his guard up and ready to fight if needed. But his eyes immediately released and turned into relaxing state once he recognized a hand touch that he so much familiar with it. As since the beginning of the movie where Nina has arm wrestling with him, Chris holding her hand to the folk dance, Chris touch Nina in dragon form, ballroom dancing ... and at the last battle where Nina holding his hand to helping him kill the dragon. All the touching and holding hand is a great symbol to show their relationship to each other.
from the person he wholeheartedly trust. At this point, Chris - a mighty king of a tremendous kingdom - blindingly allowed a small girl (Nina) to lead him wherever she wants, because he knows he is safe when he is with her.

0:27 A moment where Chris learn how to hold Nina in his arm.

Notice that Chris was standing for a moment before dancing. The reason is that Chris was in complete darkness and unable to see his lover, so he had to guess what Nina want because she’s unable to say what she want him to do. So it all come down to a total trust between him and Nina. The only way that they can communicate now is through their physical contact especially through their hands. Here, Chris have to guess that Nina want him to dance with her in a slow dance form. He learned that as Nina gently place his hand to a dance form where she will be leading the dance. Chris now have to rely on Nina to lead his dance through her hand, body and feet.

0:34 You can feel how careful and gently Chris placing his hand on Nina’s back as if he afraid to break a thin glass.

Because he can not see, he had to guess Nina’s physic form until he finally confident that he can hold her tight. As he slowly let Nina lead him through the dance, he started to learn and build up his confident to hold her by his sense.

Chris finally had his confident that he could lead Nina now after she had leading him to dance. The act of switching the leading from Nina to Chris showed that he is a man who can protect and hold the person he love dearly despite that he can’t see her.

what i particularly like on this scene is that Nina seems to be leading the dance until 0:57, and then Charioce takes the lead.
This season of Shingeki no Bahamut is full of those details, like when Charioce takes off the glove to touch dragon Nina.

Thoroughly enjoyed this anime. I’m not really big into love stories, but this one was absolutely perfect. It didn’t pull away from the main storyline, but actually enhanced it. Incredible writing, voice acting and overall story.

Love at first touch, Chris chose her out of all of the others. He himself chose her, he himself invited her to love him & to be loved back by him. Of course he will know that it’s Nina by touching her hand.
