I've been following Jamie Wheal for the past few months and love his commentary, this interview though gives me a new found respect for him. It's hopeful to see fellow leftwing people acknowledge the immigration and destabilization issues of European society. This guy is intellectually honest.

Omg, I'm just an old housewife & I've been talking about the loss of public trust (& confidence) for years now, & most people just yawn.

I get an odd comfort from listening to Jamie. Almost like he's explaining things that I've been disturbed by and saying, "Here, let me ease that panic, at least down to rational fear." It really does help!

Thanks for the content, Euvie and Mike. I think you covered a lot of stuff that is illuminatimg, but I feel I must complement what you said, specially at the last part where you three talk about the ways a group of people can function optimally right while sharing some deep, meaningful values.

I know Jamie has covered some of this stuff in his book, but since he himself raised the question as to whether there are other ways to enact this in the mainstream, I want to share 2 info sources that may interest you three: Frederik Laloux's Reinventing Organizations and Brian Robertson's Holacracy.

Both books are in-depth descriptions of companies operating at what philosopher Ken Wilber might call Teal and Turquoise complexities. In a nutshell: these companies explicitly 1) State one shared deep purpose, 2) Create the conditions to let people bring in their fullest, freest selves, and 3) Find ways to auto-organize without the need for controlling, subjugating hierarchies nor never-ending consensus reaching.

Very cool stuff, really. I hope you like it and may be share it with Jamie.

Be well.

"If it is free, you are the product" and if you're not an owner you're a cheap resource. Rising above that is possible by letting go.
First saw Jamie in a talk w Daniel S. and loved it!

I think the game changing thing will be artificial mood control. The ability to control the mind, the shadow and emotions through technology that has the power of drugs but with more precision and control. It will have side effects and the susceptibility for abuse but people want it, will pay for it, and the technology is getting better so it will happen. How that changes the game will be beyond what we can imagine.

I realize that these issues are much larger then who we choose for President of the United States. But Andrew Yang is the only candidate that seems to be addressing these issues clearly and actually offering a possible way forward that is both a holistic vision of how to realign the country and technologically intelligent.

I didn’t catch it if it was discussed, but what “sacred cows” does or do the Jamie types and or those who think they have successfully achieved the “complex OS” necessary to become a trail blazing leader, and yet are still struggling with as part of the shadow dynamic? So they still unknowingly have, but that he or those at that liminal place are potentially not willing or cannot see? Because that seems crucial to know and or recognize as a part of this development we are trying to get through.

What’s the name of the woman Jamie referenced along with Alice Walker? I don’t recognize the name and can’t find her.

'Does anyone stand behind what they are and what they do, and are any of our interests truly being looked after.'
If these questions are only now being asked then I suggest naivete has been ruling your thinking.
