The SPOOKSTON Problem

In this video I discuss the problem with Spookston in War Thunder by playing with Spookston. Basically, this man needs to be stopped because he's FAR too good in an M24 Chaffee for his own good and everyone around him! :)

I've always wanted to play War Thunder with Spookston and he was kind enough to join me for a few games. We had a lot of fun, even though I was shy!

BTW guys, Spookston's favorite vehicle is no longer the HSTV-L, it's actually the RDFL-T. The RDFL-T is the production version of the HSTV-L

Fun fact: if you manage to wedge the m51’s heat shell in between the turret and engine deck of a tiger 2 you will simultaneously overpressure and explode the ammo.

The M51 is just...when the 105mm is able to act like an 105mm, it rocks with one hitting King Tigers. Then, there are times where it would just wound and not actually kill crews.

The reason why things just seem to do more damage the further you are is because, at least according to my thought process, when you shoot, the shot curves down as it head toward the target, meaning that at the point of impact, the angle of impact is probably closer to perpendicular than anything, and would reduce the theoretical thickness of an angled armor piece.

That comment with the M-51 - about it seeming to do more damage the further away you are - is somewhat accurate because the further away you are from an enemy vehicle, the more the shell arcs downward. That tends to put it at a better angle for punching through things like the angled plate of a Panther or King Tiger. M-51s are my primary tank in War Thunder and I definitely try to spend most of my time sniping instead of brawling because it's an absolute beast at range.
