What if you kept a recycle bin in the basement. Every time you saw something that was an obvious tossy-tossy you could just deal with it in the moment. Then when you do the basement declutter you could take the recycling where it goes.
I added trash cans to multiple places in my house (closet, bedside, entry) that were collecting random trash (receipts, tags, gum wrapper, to do lists, etc) and now it’s almost easier to discard those items than it is to leave them around.
I appreciate all you do and your sweet spirit! Thank you for showing us all the ups and downs. You have inspired me to take on some of those overwhelming decluttering projects one step at a time.

Pepper needs a pay rise! Those management skills are next level! I’d say an increase of 5 cat bikkies per meal is an appropriate raise.

December 2023: I have a pile of old, worn sweatshirts and blankets I'm taking to the animal shelter. I have another bag of brand new kids' art supplies for the
food pantry and another for my grandkids. I already gave to Toys for Tots. Have fun, Tina, Al's wife

I still think you should only use what you have and make gifts until all your craft/hoard is pretty much gone. Your so talented and imagine the $$$ you would save 🧐

I’m a minimalist and a professional organizer and universally everyone is stopping giving gifts because everyone is trying to do clutter and have less… So we’re getting the gift of time

Wow! That swim buddies idea sounds like a very consumerist idea! The kids should each just take along a toy of their own to play with, that they already have!
