Former Texas Officer Convicted Of Manslaughter In Shooting Death Of Black Woman

Former Texas police officer Aaron Dean was found guilty of manslaughter in the shooting death of a Black woman at her home in Fort Worth. Dean was responding to Atatiana Jefferson's home after a concerned neighbor called a nonemergency line to say he noticed an open front door. Dean faces two to 20 years in prison for the conviction.

Even if the victim pointed a gun at the Officer he was lurking in her back yard. The call was for a welfare check NOT a Burglary. The woman’s front door was open lights on. No noise because her and her nephew were playing video games in the back room.
