Never knew about the phone option, the door flashes red regardless as long as the lights are on. It unfortunately there isn’t a setting to automatically turn off the ambient lights during the day. I feel like I’m killing the lifespan of the led strips.

Heck, BMW sold me the Z4 m40i and it says standard but my car doesn't show the interior lighting option

My 2022 430i, dynamic lighting on, ambient lighting started flashing for no apparent reason. Continued for 20 minute drive home. Next morning still flashing for about the first 45 minutes then stopped. Any explanation for what I’m fondly calling “party mode”?

I have a 2015 x5 (f15) 35I I noticed I have I’m guessing ambient lighting in the back part of my driver & passenger seats but they don’t go on I don’t know how to either turn them on or fix it cause I don’t know what source they’re from can you help?!

Hello i have the same x5 all Ambient light was working now all of a sudden only the front ambient light works the door panels dont work do u know how to put those back on?

My 2021 bmw 540xi suddenly started flashing. Ive had it with the dynamic option checked because I like the red light flashing when the door was opened. But now all of the sudden it’s flashing blue while I’m driving. The only way it stops if I have it uncheck. Ik it’s a cosmetic issue but when I had it in dynamic it never flashed when I was driving. Please help

Dash Lights dimming automatically. While driving in the daylight hours the dash lights and info screen go from bright to dim and back to bright. The problem does not exist at night with headlights on. The "BMW Genius" at the dealership check the setting and cannot explain why this is happening. It seems not to be a problem on very cloudy days. My next step is to video this problem for the dealership, they say they can not duplicate this problem.

Does the ambient lighting come standard on all 2019 BMW models (330i)?

Hi. Just got at new 5 series (2019) with ambient light, but it doesn’t have the same features as the 3 series (2019) is that correct?
Ex.
In the 3 series I had foot light in the front and rear, but not in the 5 series.
When I came close to the 3 series the exterior light turned on, whit the key in my pocket... but not in the 5 series.
The danish “sales” spec for ambient is a bad translation, so it can mean a lot of things....
