There is also the option of moving inland where the rent is cheaper. I just had a lady that moved from a coastal community where she was paying over $2k a month in rent to a resort in AZ where she pays $600 a month for rent.

Right across the street one bldg over from the civic center post office in Oakland there is a huge senior center that has damm near 100 apts that use to be for Americans, then the city hall Lunatics gave it to the Chinese and now the Chinese employees only move in other Chinese people, no whites, no blacks, no Mexican seniors allowed, its 100 percent Chinese, they can discriminate against Americans but let some Americans discriminate against a Chinese and all hell will break loose, America you are a fool for giving away your country.

My idea. The state should apply the sales tax to rent and mortgages of people, and give seniors of low income 75% of the rent paid. My idea would cover 327000 poor seniors

They should check out Petaluma and Rohnert Park. Due north and less expensive. They’d be slumming it but it’s nice. Novato is kinda high browed.
