The Most Affordable AM5 Motherboard Featuring the B650 Chipset - ASRock B650 PRO RS

Today we'll be taking a look at the ASRock B650 PRO RS Motherboard. This motherboard uses AMD's mainstream B650 chipset supporting all of AMD's latest Rzyen 7000 series of processors on the AM5 socket. The B650 is targeted at the mainstream market and only offers a total 36 usable PCIE lanes. It does not support PCIE 5 slot for next-graphics cards, but it does offer support for some CPU overclocking and AMD's EXPO for memory profiles.

All-in-all, the ASRock B650 PRO RS is probably one of the most affordable AM5 motherboards, designed and targeted at the mainstream market. It does lack some of the enthusiast features we all love on higher-end motherboards, but it definitely made up for it in the performance department. If you're a system builder or a DIYer who's looking to build a second system, then take a look at the ASRock B650 PRO RS which is amazingly priced at under $250!

I'm always waiting for your review on ASRock motherboards based on AMD chipsets, the background music you used on your review of the ASRock B450M Steel Legend is very nice...use something like that...👍, the AM5 platform needs more time to mature IMO, i'm still sticking to AM4 socket based AMD builds...

Thank you for the informative guide. I almost bought a heatsink for my nvme and the MB already has one. You saved me money TY!

I ran an Asrock board with my old 2600k intel cpu. It served me for many years. Asrock used to be a real budget brand. But it turned into a brand that is becoming a safer choice than boards from a brand like ASUS. Lol.

I may just pair the mATX version of this this with a Ryzen 9 7900. I can get this CPU from a trade only wholesaler for not that more than a 7700X. A pity there are not any X670 mATX boards and virtually no B650E ones either.

This board is great although if you plan on doing some heavy RGBing i would recommend cutting no corners with hubs because this board only has one USB header
