The fucking atmospheres Jimmy creates.... He doesn't play music, he shifts space and time

What Led Zeppelin did between 69 and 79 can never be duplicated again.

John Paul Jones is not a great musician. He is truly a once-in-a-lifetime musical GENIUS. He understands music on a level that 99.999% of people can never comprehend.

Maybe, now, we all understand that Led Zeppelin is the best group of all times. Four friends, four musicians, four geniuses.

I understand why they stop playing as band when Bonham died. They were an absolute team, a Dream Team of the Rock!! Play this song live close to perfection is what I truly admire. A masterpiece!

That solo one of the best ever in Rock History

The solo is mind blowing but I think what makes Page historically great is the way he plays the whole song - his sense of dynamics, his fills and the way his riffs, chords and solos flow dynamically is in my opinion paints the most complete picture in all of rock history. As much as I love the solo I’m blown away at the climactic riff at the end the way he plays a really fast flurry of notes with the wah and just flows into the main riff. He and the band had a genius for creating the most dramatic effect. That’s just so Jimmy Page!

I was only one month old when this was recorded, my parents went to see Led Zeppelin at the Forum in L.A. in 1973 two months before I was born so I can say I've been to a Zeppelin concert 🤟🤟🤟

I'm 77, I was at this concert, and my ears rang for about 2 daze . The whole place was filled with smoke and helium balloons bouncing around.

Listening again - this really might be the greatest representation ever officially recorded that captured all of Page’s greatest, and most emotional, nuanced phrasings in a single song. It just sounds like he’s singing - pure, soulful communication. Just jaw dropping. And I assume he did this many times throughout 1973? But also, the riff and use of the wah is so fucking cool and unique. The man is a genius. My idol!
