Exposure to fear-based stimuli...so, how would this look for someone who was repeatedly tortured, raped, suffocated, and trafficked? You'd expose them to more? How is that helpful?
And nothing about the psychosocial environment that must change, as it is the lack of appropriate support that causes the trauma to set in the nervous system. Safe relationships are key.
