I will add my name to the list of viewers who want to see more photobook flip-through. Also, your evaluation of the quality of the book’s printing, color representation, paper quality, binding, etc would be most useful to us. Keep up the good work.

Yes, I would be interested in a series on photo books. I think it's fun to hear your insights as you look through it, in the same way I appreciate you analyzing your photos during the street notes series.
In terms of copying, or taking inspiration from, it's perfectly okay. It's one thing if you weren't acknowledging your inspirations, or trying to commercially take advantage of someone else's work. There's also something to learning by really examining the elements of your inspirations. I remember in a college literature class, we had to turn in short papers daily trying to write in the same style/voice of the writer we had read that day. I remember a student questioned the professor about it, and the professor said that imitating and writing in the style of someone really helped you to better understand the writer's voice and get inside of the work, rather than just outside of it. I think it's probably the same in all sorts of arts, and in photography it does help you to see what it is you admire about those inspirations being able to analyze someone else's work helps you to see your own. Anyway, thanks for making me think! :)

I found your comments about criticism for photographing the back of a person pretty broad. In wildlife photography, avoiding rear shots makes sense since they often lack interest. However, it's different for human subjects. In the photos you mentioned, the focus isn't on the derriere but rather on capturing a different perspective or context.
Saul Leiter once said: "A person's back tells me more than the front."

You should hook up with Perry Hall! He lives in Dallas now. Also, one of my favorite photos in here was the one with all the pink. The wheel on the left with the girl perfectly timed doing a handstand in the backyard the lady on the right wearing pink pushing a stroller. Love the colors and the layers. You blew by that one. 😂
