Everyday even now, they try to dig into the wall to escape but then get tired and sleep “We’ll finish tomorrow”, when they wake up they find themselves at the starting point. And then again repeat the same thing every day until the day of judgement comes and before they sleep they say smth like “Inshallah, we’ll finish tomorrow” when they say Inshallah, Allah allows it and the next day they don’t start from the beginning, the continue digging and come out to the human world.
