Make absolutely sure that the rubber gaskets and fittings used are rated for methane. If not, they are liable to dissolve over time.

So you really need two barrel set ups, when you run out of gas you have a spare while you wait for the other barrel to mature in two weeks ?, a pressure gauge on top of the barrel to show how much gas is in the barrel might help ! How long does the gas last before you need to refill the barrel with more manure ? Would painting the barrel black help the heating process in cooler climates to mature the system ?

this looked great but the flaw was that when all the waste has rotted down the gas will stop and you have to start again, and of course you need heat to raise the temp in the tank to about 55 Degrees for the microbe's to work, therefore in northern climes or say Alaska it will not work without heat?

Good try. BUT, you should have used a TWO chamber system, so that when you need to refill the container, the gasses that are inside are not lost. Basically you will NEED two containers fitted together with two stop valve hoses, so that IF one hose is bad you can change it without upsetting your whole system. When you fill one tank up with manure then you can have the gasses pumped into the other tank, while leaving, say the number one tank, of dead manure closed off so that it can be cleaned out for fresh manure and so that the cycle can be repeated. Since you seem to be a youngster, you have a lot to learn in life. Also you can use OLD food scraps as well.
