Since you are going to Salzburg I suggest you go to Hallstatt
Its a very small town with a wonderful view at a lake
I was there two weeks ago and it was really nice.

Ive also been to many places in Croatia and I can suggest a few places if you are comfortable with sharing the region.

Ps. A mistake every American does it that they tip 15% here in Europe waiters get paid a nice wage so a few euros is enough.
