Perfect pacing on this video to me. I really enjoy your random insights and chill attitude. Thanks Gavin!

I love the flavor text on the land cards and hope this could become standard. It makes use of underutilized space and adds to the flavor of the story. What about commissioning a poet or writer to do the land card flavor text for each set. It digs deeper into what makes MTG unique and allows the game to engage another group of artists.

This is looking to be my favorite set since I started playing in 2014.

Take your time with these, Gavin. There are 100s of box openings out there. The thing you bring to the table is your behind-the-scenes stories, and your insight. Dont change a thing!

Also, my favorite part of the die roll cards is that 1-9 and 10-20 were chosen specifically to prevent you from just flipping a coin. Gotta roll them dice.

I have been so, so hyped for this set. I really wish I were able to afford it haha. This set is the one set I wish I could have shared with my Uncle again. He *loved* D&D and had a group that played for 20 years or so. My brothers and I had gotten him into Magic shortly after we started(Unlimited). He was always looking for ways to spend time with us, and he took Magic up to do that. So yeah, this set, because of his love of D&D, would be the set I wish I could share with him most if he were still around. He would've had a blast seeing the showcase frames and the characters used.

I quit 10 years ago. Now this set brought me back to Arena and Commander.

Been playing since 96 without a break, but haven't bought a box since homelands and have never collected a set

I'm both buying a box and planning on collecting this set. I will probably be backing a deck with 75 boo tokens too

I'm watching this while feeding my stray cat friend. You scared her when you pulled that foil planeswalker.

I thought this was very well paced. An hour is a perfect length for a box opening imo, and you talked a good amount about interesting cards.

I love basically all of the flavor decisions and flavor words and such used in the set!

Yay! The kaijudo callout for flavor words just like I asked in my tweet! (I did think they were more of the inspiration!)

Thanks for sharing these stories Gavin! Really excited to draft this set.

As far as "wishes" go, for the potential next D&D crossover sets i would like to see a full cycle of metallic dragons, poor Adult Gold Dragon fighting against all these evil chromatics is quite lonesome!

9:30 - The Vorpal Sword is well known outside of D&D, because it's one of many things D&D borrows from historical literature - it's originally from Lewis Carroll's Jabberwocky poem.
