Omg, Why make things harder than necessary, Lol? (See Set-up Below)
Simply create a system of 2 equations with the two points & asymptote given.
#1) Place 1 equation ontop of the other, & "Always" put the Larger exponents (X-value), ON TOP..)
725=AB⁵-4
23=AB²-4

Add four to both sides of both equations, inorder to move them to Left side.
"A's"= Cross Out" bc they hold same value...
Left w/:
729=B⁵
27=B²
Simply Divide Exponents & Y-values=>

729/27=B³
Take cube Root=> ((B=3))

I think U made things way too challenging than necessary;)
