Until this spring I've never used tomatoe food. But after seeing both you and Anna of Cactus caffeine having great success with it I've started using it! I’ve been using Tomato Feed for years, I have a three hundred litre rain water barrel which I add a bottle of feed to in the Spring and use this water for the first couple of waterings of the year and monthly afterwards, I think the Cacti take up more as they are thirsty, it works well for me! 😁🌵

Hi Lynn, how are you ? You are totally right on the Tomato fertalizer. Last week I did for the first time to waken up my cactee again after winter rest. OMG; my Mammilaria is blooming again, so soon afterwards. It has 100s of new buts...wish I could upload a picture but do't know how. Thank you again for being a feedback mirror. Have a safe live !

Lyn, ever since you first suggested this I have also been using tomato fertilizer for my cacti (managed to find an organic one here in Italy and bought a good supply) with great results - so thanks as always for the great advice because you have been a BIG inspiration to me. Fiona 🤗

Excited to try tomato fertilizer on my cactus this year. The cacti learning curve has been pretty massive for me but with your videos I’ve been catching on a bit more. I found scale on some of my baby Rita cacti cuttings yesterday. I spent most of the day picking them all off with a toothpick, old makeup brush and alcohol! Very tedious and now to wait a week to see if they come back. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I love using tomato fertilizer for my cacti! It works better than the "cactus fertilizers" you find in the stores.

B&Q organic tomato feed was always my go-to cactus fertilizer when in the UK. The organic liquid fertilizer here in Germany seems to be molasses extract and I've never been entirely confident about it.

I used phostrogen tablets on my xmas cacti and they went bananas.I have never had so many flowers on them.
