It's pear season! Pears are being harvested right now and I have 20lbs!
I love taking these pears and canning them for my grandma. Not only is it is one of her favorites but they are shelf stable after canning which makes them a great addition to our pantry for food security.
Pro tip: store pears and apples away from citrus fruits! They will cause each other to go bad faster. Store them in separate bowls and away from each other in the fridge.
