WooCommerce XML & CSV Affiliate Product Import with WP All Import - CommissionJunction

This video shows the OLD way to build affiliate stores with WP All Import - from 2013, before the WooCommerce add-on was available.

To import XML or CSV files containing affiliate products to WooCommerce, use our new WooCommerce add-on.

WP All Import is not for beginning affiliate marketers. WP All Import is an advanced plugin for performing complex XML imports into WooCommece affiliate products, or CSV imports to WooCommerce affiliate/external products.

There are many affiliate networks that offer datafeeds you can import in XML and CSV format, so you aren't just limited to CommissionJunction.

Yes, you need to use the WooCommerce add-on, and use the Variations tab.

WooCommerce works with pretty much any theme - even the default WordPress theme.

I suggest looking on Google for free WooCommerce themes.

Are you using the wp all import with the woocommerce addon? or just the standard $99 dollar one?

does somebody know which hosting provider was used in this video? I have a dedicated server and it doesn't work stable/fast enough with big product feeds like the one used in the video (14k products per feed). Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks for your reply. I paid a web-designer to build me this site some time ago and then he disappeared, so i am trying to work out how to update this myself. My version has a variations tab along the top where it says Posts, Pages, Products, Variations etc .. but it doesn't look like the Woocommerce layout .. i think i have version 3.1.1 .. Does that mean i need to purchase something else, or can i make variations work with my current setup. I obviously don't have access to any documentation.

Is it possible to use product variations without Woocommerce Add-On ? Currently each size of my products show as individual products. Can i make WPAI merge them as variations ?

Where did you find the extra information in the CSV file?
I only have about 5 options in Product records. No product description etc..

Why did you do custom links for the menu's? It would have been much quicker to just check the product categories you wanted to display. By default the products and product categories selection boxes don't display however. You have to click on "Screen Options" in the top right of the windows and then check the ones you want to display. From there you could simply select all of the categories and it would add them all to the menu.
