One of the most loved of the older model of big rigs, is the nostalgic Mack brand: Mack R Series, B- Model Macks, Mack Super Liner and many other old Mack model trucks are featured in the video.

Mack established itself and delivered a truck that was built tough and was ready to get the job done, whatever the job was.

The 'BULLDOG" is the trademark symbol of Mack, which stands for long lasting and tough, which Mack is, every step of the way!
The companies new slogan is 'BORN READY'... which truly reflects this iconic brand of big rig truck.

Mack LTs, Superliners, and cabovers. Some of the coolest trucks ever made.

Road test on a B, drove the R and two 69 F cabover sleepers in the early 70s and was a mechanic on them all back then!! Macks were banging back in those days.

Iv gotta 84 model R 600 with a 300 econodine that Iv owned for over twenty years. In all that time and many miles all Iv had to do to it was one new camshaft and two turbos. They're rough as guts to ride in and drive but as the old saying goes, ''they'll wear the driver out before you wear the truck out'', holds true. The biggest bugbear with them is the heat. Especially our Aussie models with the steering wheel on the right side, the driver is only two feet away from a red hot turbo and more than once boots have been melted on the floor. Iv also got a K123 cabover Kenny with a 903 V8 Cummins (350) and the old Mack will outpull that anyday of the week and get much better fuel economy.

I worked for Mack twice, once in Calgary, at that time every dealership had it's own driver, In 1961 I demonstrated new B-61's for the sales staff, test drove for warranty claims before and after repairs, ran the tow truck and flew all over North America bringing new trucks to Calgary and Edmonton. After I left them I took 2 Macks to Kitimat to haul logs, one was a B 613, the other a B 833SX with a Cummins 262,  both had Quad boxes. I joined Mainland Mack in Langley BC as a salesman in '87, didn't put pen to paper for 90 days. The other salesmen told Evan Williams "He ain't going to make it Boss" The following year I made over $100, 000.00 in commissions. There were more "R" model cabs produced than any other truck cab in history. Ted Campbell -

Pretty sure I saw one like the one @1:08 today; it was Traffic Yellow and pulling a low loader trailer with load. I live in the UK. If anyone else saw that truck near the Tilbury Docks area please let me know.
