First trick, there is actually no one actually in the audience. This is scripted, but okay

The black bucket.. When the magician dropped the cards into the black bucket, his hand loosened a black cloth on the inside of the bucket. The black cloth landed as a covering over the cards that were dropped into it. Behind the black cloth, was a different set of cards, all the same. When the black cloth landed and covered the cards that had been dropped into it, the cards behind the cloth also fell down and landed on top of the black cloth. When Simon reached into the bucket to pick a card, he did not pick one of the ones that had been dropped into it because those were now covered with the black cloth. Instead, he picked one of the cards that had been behind the black cloth, but now were on top of the black cloth. Those were all the same. It wouldn't have mattered which card Simon picked because they were all exactly the same. This is how the magician knew all the right answers before Simon even picked the card. Easy.
